What To Expect
At Restoration Church of Sanford, you will discover a family of broken people relying on God's daily grace and the Holy Spirit. At RCS, you will find a warm group of real people dedicated to following our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. From the moment you walk up to the building, you can expect…
Warm Greetings
A heartfelt greeting is part of what makes a church a church. No matter what question you might have, just ask. Our greeters are there to help you get settled and help you meet others and find your way around our facility.
Casual Atmosphere
A casual atmosphere creates an environment where friendships can form and relationships deepen. We desire to be a place that is serious about joy—true joy—the kind that comes from a real connection with God and others.
Conversation
Expect to be noticed. Expect people to say something like, “Hi, we haven’t met before, is this your first time?” Expect people to reach out to you in love.
Music
We love all kinds of music. Everything from traditional hymns to modern worship. We intentionally use music that is Word-centered and Christ-exalting, stirring our hearts to know, love, and honor him.
What kind of people make up Restoration Church?
We want our church to look like our community. Sanford is a city of diversity with people from different ethnic, socioeconomic, cultural, and religious backgrounds. Just as God extends his love to all people, we also welcome all to explore what it means to be a part of what God is doing here.
I’m not really a “church-goer,”
am I welcome?
Absolutely! We aim to be a warm and welcoming place for those who are curious about God but have never felt comfortable in church. Perhaps you are skeptical about Jesus and have doubts, or maybe you attended church previously but have stopped attending for different reasons. We want to be a place where you can learn about and wrestle with what it means to follow Jesus. It’s okay if you don’t have it all figured out. In fact, that’s a good place to start.
Will you have anything for children?
Yes. We welcome children of all ages. Our Sunday worship service has a structured time for kids in a safe and secure environment. This time is a fun moment for the kids and a great way for them to connect with other children as well. The kids are separated into multiple age groups and spend their time singing worship songs and interacting with lessons from the Bible. Each children’s worker is a trained volunteer who has passed a background check to ensure your child’s safety.
Truth
The Bible tells us to speak the truth in love. The Bible is God’s truth. At Restoration Church of Sanford, we seek to understand and apply God’s truth to our lives at every level. We believe that the Word of God does the work of God. We believe the Bible is authoritative, sufficient, and effective for all things in life and godliness.
